Clinical Efficacy and Safety of Qingyi Decoction Combined with Western Medicine in the Treatment of Acute Pancreatitis
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Qingyi Decoction combined with Western medicine in the treatment of acute pancreatitis. Methods: A total of 196 patients with acute pancreatitis admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanyang Medical College from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a combined group and a control group using a random number table method, with 98 cases in each group. Both groups received Western medicine treatment, while the combined group also received Qingyi Decoction treatment. The clinical efficacy, levels of pancreatic inflammation markers [serum lipopolysaccharide (LPS), serum amylase (AMY), and urinary amylase (UAMY)], levels of serum inflammatory factors [C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT), and high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1)], and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of clinical treatment in the combined group was 91.84%, which was significantly higher than the 79.59% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum LPS, AMY, and UAMY in both groups decreased, and the levels in the combined group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum CRP, PCT, and HMGB1 in both groups decreased, and the levels in the combined group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Qingyi Decoction combined with Western medicine for the treatment of acute pancreatitis can effectively enhance the therapeutic effect, improve the levels of pancreatic inflammation markers and serum inflammatory factors in patients, but does not increase the occurrence of adverse reactions.
