The Effect of Simumotang Combined with Bifidobacterium Lactobacillus Trilactis on Children with Functional Dyspepsia
Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of Simumotang combined with Bifidobacterium Lactobacillus Trilactis on children with functional dyspepsia (FD). Methods: A total of 108 FD children admitted to Nan'an Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using block randomization, with 54 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Bifidobacterium Lactobacillus Trilactis, while the observation group was treated with Simumotang combined with Bifidobacterium Lactobacillus Trilactis. The clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome scores, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group (96.30%) was higher than that in the control group (83.33%), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After 1 week and 2 weeks of treatment, the TCM syndrome scores of both groups decreased significantly, and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). The overall incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group (9.26%) was not significantly different from that in the control group (5.56%) (P > 0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Simumotang and Bifidobacterium Lactobacillus Trilactis for the treatment of FD children can enhance clinical efficacy, reduce TCM syndrome scores, and has a certain level of safety.
