Clinical Effect of Xiaojianzhong Capsule Combined with Saccharomyces boulardii Powder in the Treatment of Helicobacter pylori Infection in Children
Abstract：Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of Xiaojianzhong Capsule combined with Saccharomyces boulardii Powder in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection in children. Methods: A total of 92 children with Helicobacter pylori infection admitted to Hebi Maternal and Child Health Hospital from March 2020 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects and divided into a control group and an observation group according to different treatment methods, with 46 cases in each group. Both groups received triple therapy, and the control group was further treated with Saccharomyces boulardii Powder, while the observation group received Xiaojianzhong Capsule on top of the treatment in the control group. The clinical efficacy, severity of clinical symptoms before and after treatment, immune function, degree of gastric mucosal lesions, and Helicobacter pylori eradication rate were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores for nausea, upper abdominal pain, upper abdominal distension, burning sensation in the upper abdomen, and the degree of gastric mucosal lesions in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the levels of peripheral blood CD4+ and CD3+ were higher than those in the control group, with all differences being statistically significant (P < 0.05). The Helicobacter pylori eradication rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Xiaojianzhong Capsule and Saccharomyces boulardii Powder in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection in children can effectively enhance clinical efficacy, alleviate clinical symptoms, regulate immune function, reduce the degree of gastric mucosal lesions, and improve the Helicobacter pylori eradication rate.
