Clinical Observation of Neck and Shoulder Local Cupping Plus Meridian-Blowing Therapy Combined with Warm Acupuncture for the Treatment of Mixed Cervical Spondylosis of Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis Syndrome
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effect of neck and shoulder local cupping plus meridian-blown therapy combined with warm acupuncture on patients with mixed cervical spondylosis of qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome. Methods: A total of 110 patients with mixed cervical spondylosis of qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome treated at Zhangpu County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2023 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each with 55 cases. The control group received neck and shoulder local cupping plus meridian-blown therapy, while the observation group received neck and shoulder local cupping plus meridian-blown therapy combined with warm acupuncture. The cervical function, TCM syndrome scores, vertebral level displacement, vertebral angle displacement, and cervical recovery status of the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results: After treatment, the NDI score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores of the observation group were all lower than those of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). After treatment, the vertebral level displacement and vertebral angle displacement values of the observation group were smaller than those of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). After treatment, the self-reported symptoms, clinical examination, daily life actions scores, and total scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion: Applying neck and shoulder local cupping plus meridian-blown therapy combined with warm acupuncture to patients with mixed cervical spondylosis of qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome can improve cervical function, relieve clinical symptoms, shorten the vertebral level displacement distance, reduce the vertebral angle displacement value, and help in cervical recovery.
