Effect of Atorvastatin Combined with Tongxinluo Capsule on Lipid Metabolism and Ventricular Remodeling in Patients with Hypertensive Heart Failure

Abstract：Objective: To investigate the effect of atorvastatin combined with tongxinluo capsule on lipid metabolism and ventricular remodeling in patients with hypertensive heart failure. Methods: A total of 86 patients with hypertensive heart failure admitted to the Henan Modern Medical Research Institute Hospital from January 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each with 43 cases. On the basis of routine treatment, the control group received atorvastatin treatment, while the observation group received atorvastatin combined with tongxinluo capsule treatment. The blood pressure, cardiac function and structural indicators, lipid metabolism indicators, and serum inflammatory factor levels were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and systolic blood pressure (SBP) of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After treatment, the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, while the left ventricular mass index (LVMI), right ventricular end-diastolic volume (RVEDV), and right ventricular end-systolic volume (RVESV) were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After treatment, the serum total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, while the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) level was higher, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After treatment, the serum levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion: Atorvastatin combined with tongxinluo capsule has a significant antihypertensive effect in patients with hypertensive heart failure, can improve lipid metabolism, reduce serum inflammatory factor levels, and inhibit ventricular remodeling.
