Effect of Yiqi Fumai Injection as an Adjuvant Therapy in the Treatment of Angina Pectoris in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) of Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis Syndrome and Its Impact on Hemorheological Indices
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effect of Yiqi Fumai injection as an adjuvant therapy in the treatment of angina pectoris in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) of Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome, as well as its impact on hemorheological indices. Methods: A total of 120 CAD patients with angina pectoris treated at Nanyang Central Hospital from February 2022 to August 2024 were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each with 60 cases. The control group received only conventional Western medicine treatment, while the observation group received Yiqi Fumai injection in addition to the treatment of the control group. The clinical efficacy, frequency and duration of angina attacks before and after treatment, hemorheological indices, endothelial function, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the frequency of angina attacks in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the duration of each attack was shorter, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the whole blood reduced viscosity (WBRV), plasma viscosity (PV), hematocrit (HCT), and platelet aggregation rate (PAG) in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) and endothelin-1 (ET-1) in the plasma of the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the level of nitric oxide (NO) was higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Adding Yiqi Fumai injection as an adjuvant therapy in the treatment of angina pectoris in patients with CAD of Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome has significant clinical effects. It not only optimizes the hemorheological characteristics of patients but also enhances endothelial function, effectively reducing the frequency of angina attacks and shortening the duration of attacks, without increasing adverse reactions.
