Predictive Value of GNA14 for Endometrial Carcinoma and Lymphovascular Space Invasion in Endometrial Carcinoma
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the predictive value of GNA14 (Guanine Nucleotide-Binding Protein Alpha 14) for endometrial carcinoma and lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI) in endometrial carcinoma. Methods: A total of 150 patients suspected of having endometrial carcinoma were selected from Zhumadian Jiahua Hospital between January 2022 and January 2024. According to pathological results, they were divided into an observation group (endometrial carcinoma, 40 cases) and a benign control group (benign endometrial lesions, 110 cases). Meanwhile, 40 healthy volunteers were selected as the normal control group. Serum GNA14 levels were compared among the three groups, and differences in serum GNA14 levels in different clinical and pathological features of endometrial carcinoma were analyzed. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were drawn to evaluate the predictive value of GNA14 for endometrial carcinoma and LVSI. Results: Serum GNA14 levels showed a decreasing trend in the observation group, benign control group, and normal control group, with statistically significant differences among the groups (P < 0.05). Serum GNA14 levels varied significantly among different myometrial invasion depths, FIGO stages, lymph node metastasis, and LVSI in endometrial carcinoma (P < 0.05). ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) for predicting endometrial carcinoma was 0.956 (95% CI: 0.928–0.985), and the AUC for predicting LVSI in endometrial carcinoma was 0.936 (95% CI: 0.859–0.967). Conclusion: Serum GNA14 levels in patients with endometrial carcinoma were significantly higher than those in patients with benign lesions and healthy individuals. There were significant differences in serum GNA14 levels among different myometrial invasion depths, FIGO stages, lymph node metastasis, and LVSI, indicating that GNA14 can predict endometrial carcinoma and LVSI to some extent.
