Advances in the study of eosinophilic gastroenteritis

Abstract：Eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EG) is a rare gastrointestinal disease characterized by abnormal infiltration of eosinophils (Eos) in the gastrointestinal tract. Because of its low incidence and self limitation, the clinical manifestations are lack of specificity, resulting in a high rate of misdiagnosis. The article reviews the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diag-nosis and treatment of the disease, with a view to strengthening the understanding of the disease and improving the accuracy of diagnosis.
