The value of color Doppler ultrasound combined with MRI in diagnosis and staging of breast cancer

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical value of color Doppler ultrasound combined with MRI in screening breast can-cer.Methods 120 suspected breast cancer patients screened in our hospital were selected.96 cases of breast cancer were con-firmed by surgery and pathology(81 cases of stage Ⅰ,12 cases of stage Ⅱ,3 cases of stage Ⅲ),and 24 cases were benign.Then,we evaluated the detection of breast cancer by stages,and calculated the accuracy,specificity,sensitivity,positive predictive value and negative predictive value.Results Color ultrasound examination showed 88 cases of malignant breast tumors and 32 cases of benign breast tumors.MRI scans showed 93 cases of malignant breast tumors and 27 cases of benign breast tumors.The combined detection of ultrasound and MRI showed 95 cases of malignant breast tumors and 25 cases of benign breast tumors.The accuracy,sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value of the joint detection were 92.50％,94.79％,83.33％,95.79％,and 80.00％,all of which were higher than MRI detection by 84.17％,88.54％,66.67％,91.40％,and 59.26％,and higher than ultrasound detection by 76.67％,81.25％,58.33％,88.64％,and 43.75％,with statistical signifi-cance(P<0.05).Conclusion MRI is superior to color ultrasound in breast cancer,and the combination of MRI and color ultra-sound has higher clinical value.
