6 Cases of Acute Arsine Poisoning: Treatment and Literature Review
Abstract:Acute arsine poisoning is a systemic disease caused by inhaling a large amount of arsine gas in a short period, characterized mainly by acute intravascular hemolysis and renal damage. Acute arsine poisoning can lead to damage of multiple organs such as the blood system, heart, liver, kidney, and nervous system, and its severity is closely related to the duration of exposure to the toxic substance. Blood arsenic and urinary arsenic levels can serve as reference indicators for etiological diagnosis. Actively improving anemia and restoring renal function are the main measures in the treatment of arsine poisoning. This case report summarizes the clinical characteristics and treatment process of six patients with acute arsine poisoning admitted to our department, combined with a literature review, to provide references for clinicians in treating such poisoned patients.
