Case Report of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for a Patient with Mechanical Ventilation After Brain Injury Surgery
Abstract:Early hyperbaric oxygen therapy for patients with impaired consciousness due to brain injury can help in recovery. Ordinary ventilators cannot function properly in the high-pressure environment of a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, which limits the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for patients with mechanical ventilation during the acute phase. This article reports a case where a domestically produced hyperbaric oxygen-specific ventilator ensured the safe implementation of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for a patient on mechanical ventilation, providing experience and reference for early initiation of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to improve prognosis in such patients.
