Comprehensive Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment Process of Pulmonary Thromboembolism: Coagulation Function Testing
Abstract:Pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) is one of the most severe clinical manifestations of venous thromboembolism (VTE), ranking among the top causes of cardiovascular diseases globally [1]. More than 80% of PTE is caused by emboli from deep vein thrombosis (DVT) that dislodge and block the pulmonary artery, leading to increased pulmonary arterial pressure, damage to the structure and function of the right heart, and even right heart failure and death [2-3].
