Abstract:Objective To research the relationship between VDR gene polymorphism and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).Methods The databases such as Medline,Premedline,Cochrane Library,CNKI,Wanfang database were searched to collect case-control or cohort studies for comparison. The quality of the retrieved trials was critically appraised.Meta-analyses were conducted using RevMan 5.3 and Stata14.0 software respectively. Results A total of 12 studies were included. The meta-analyses showed:there were no significant differences (P>0.05)between the two groups for VDR FokI rs10735810 (C>T) or VDR Tru9I rs757343 (G>A) polymorphism.VDR ApaI rs7975232 (A> C) polymorphism had significant differences between the two groups (AA + AC vs.CC) (OR 0.88;95% CI 0.74-1.05;P=0.008);and (A vs.C)(OR 0.84;95% CI 0.74-0.95;P=0.004).VDR BsmI rs1544410 (A>G)polymorphism had significant differences between the two groups(A vs.G) (OR 0.86;95% CI 0.74-0.99;P=0.04).VDR Taq1 rs731236(T>C) polymorphism had significant differences between the two groups (TT+TC vs.CC) (OR 0.78;95% CI 0.62-0.99;P=0.04).Conclusion VDR FokI and VDR Tru9I polymorphism is irrelevant to PCOS,while VDR ApaI,VDR BsmI and VDR Taq1 polymorphism may be associated with PCOS.
