Application Analysis of PBL and LBL Dual Teaching Model in the Training of Specialized Nurses in Palliative Care
Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of the dual teaching model combining problem-based learning (PBL) and lecture-based learning (LBL) in the training of specialized nurses in palliative care. Methods From June 2022 to June 2023, 40 nurses receiving specialized palliative care training at the Wancheng Community Health Service Center in Putuo District, Shanghai were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, each with 20 nurses. The control group was taught using the LBL teaching model, while the experimental group was taught using the PBL and LBL dual teaching model. The two groups were compared in terms of examination scores, critical thinking scores, teaching effectiveness, and teaching satisfaction. Results The scores in all aspects of the examination and total score, critical thinking scores in all aspects and total score, teaching effectiveness scores in all aspects, and teaching satisfaction scores in all aspects of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion Applying the PBL and LBL dual teaching model in the training of specialized nurses in palliative care can effectively improve examination scores, enhance critical thinking, and improve teaching effectiveness and satisfaction.
