Abstract:Objective To discuss the effect of the 'One Attack, Three Grasps, Five Passes' measures implemented in Shicheng County for the prevention and control of tuberculosis. Methods The six aspects of tuberculosis prevention and control measures, including census, prevention, treatment, management, publicity, and financial security, were refined into the 'One Attack, Three Grasps, Five Passes' tuberculosis prevention and control strategy. A total of 1,083 pulmonary tuberculosis patients registered and managed before the implementation of the 'One Attack, Three Grasps, Five Passes' tuberculosis prevention and control strategy from January 2014 to December 2018 were selected as the control group. A total of 732 pulmonary tuberculosis patients registered and managed after the implementation of the 'One Attack, Three Grasps, Five Passes' tuberculosis prevention and control strategy from January 2019 to December 2023 were selected as the observation group. The changes in tuberculosis prevention and control indicators between the two groups were analyzed. Results The discovery rates of referred, transferred, and tracked patients, the pathogen-positive rate, and the efficiency of completing the course of treatment in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The discovery rates of patients through physical examinations and active screening in the observation group were also higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After implementing the 'One Attack, Three Grasps, Five Passes' tuberculosis prevention and control strategy, the number of newly registered tuberculosis cases in five years decreased compared to the five years before the strategy was implemented, and the public's specific knowledge of tuberculosis prevention and control increased compared to the five years before the strategy was implemented. Conclusion The 'One Attack, Three Grasps, Five Passes' tuberculosis prevention and control strategy in Shicheng County has shown good effectiveness and is worth promoting.
