Application Study of Therapeutic Communication Intervention Model in Emergency Intravenous Therapy Patients
Abstract:Objective To study the application value of therapeutic communication intervention model in emergency intravenous therapy patients. Methods A total of 120 patients who received intravenous therapy in the emergency department of Zhongyi Hospital of Zhangqiu District, Jinan City from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a study group, each with 60 cases. The control group received routine intervention, while the study group received the therapeutic communication intervention model in addition to routine intervention. The two groups were compared in terms of disease uncertainty, coping styles, and incidence of adverse events. Results After the intervention, the scores of the Mishel Uncertainty in Illness Scale (information deficiency, complexity, uncertainty, unpredictability) and the total score of the study group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The 'confrontation' score of the MCMQ Coping Style Scale in the study group was higher than that of the control group, while the 'avoidance' and 'yielding' scores and the total score were lower, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse events in the study group was 3.33%, which was lower than 15.00% in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion Implementing the therapeutic communication intervention model in emergency intravenous therapy patients can effectively improve disease uncertainty and coping styles, and reduce the incidence of adverse events.
