Application of the 7S Management Model in Infection Control Center Nursing Management
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effect of the 7S management model in the nursing management of the infection control center. Methods: 17 nursing management personnel and 232 paper-plastic packaged items, 193 non-woven fabric packaged items from the infection control center of Jiyang District People's Hospital of Jinan City were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into the control group (January-December 2022) and the experimental group (January-December 2023) according to different time periods. The experimental group implemented the 7S management model, while the control group implemented the post responsibility system management. The quality qualification rate of disinfection supply items, incidence of adverse events, and staff satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results: The quality qualification rates of all disinfection supply items and staff satisfaction in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, while the total incidence of adverse events in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group. The differences between the groups were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: For the nursing management of the infection control center, the application of the 7S management model can significantly improve the operation qualification rate, reduce the occurrence of adverse events, and enhance overall staff satisfaction.
