Abstract:Objective To systematically evaluate the intervention effect of Internet Plus interactive health education in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Methods Randomized controlled trials published in foreign databases (Web of Science, Embase, CINAHL, PubMed, Cochrane Library) and Chinese databases (CNKI, VIP, Wanfang, China Biomedical Literature Database) regarding the application of Internet Plus interactive health education in patients with inflammatory bowel disease were retrieved. The retrieval time was from the establishment of each database to March 2024. Statistical analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 and Stata 14.0. Results A total of 9 randomized controlled trials involving 1,724 patients with inflammatory bowel disease were finally included. Meta-analysis results showed that compared with the control group, patients receiving Internet Plus interactive health education had better anxiety and depression levels, perceived stress, inflammatory bowel disease questionnaire, mental health-related aspects, resilience, and disease activity, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion Implementing Internet Plus interactive health education has a positive significance for patients with inflammatory bowel disease, which can improve patients' negative emotions, enhance their understanding of the disease, and reduce disease activity.
