Abstract:Composite end points are often used for primary endpoints in clinical studies of cardiovascular disease. The traditional composite endpoint is usually based on the time to first event, which ignores the differences in clinical importance of each component and the influence of secondary events, which may lead to the bias of research conclusions and the underutilization of follow-up data.Win ratio is an emerging statistical method that allows more precise analysis of composite endpoints of randomized controlled trials based on clinical priority. This article reviews the concept and basic methods of win ratio, and discusses its potential application value in the field of cardiovascular disease combined with recent clinical studies.
