Study on the Impact of Toll Prices on Traffic Volume of Cross-Bay Bridges
Abstract：Cross-bay bridges are key facilities for urban and regional traffic operations. To study the changes in traffic volume of cross-bay bridges under different toll adjustment scenarios, this paper takes the Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay Bridge as an example, establishes a traffic volume prediction model for cross-bay bridges, and analyzes the impact of toll price adjustments on traffic volume. The results show that after the adjustment of toll prices, there will be a more noticeable change in traffic volume in the short term, but this change will quickly reach an upper limit and gradually decay over time. In addition, toll prices are not the only factor affecting traffic volume transfer.
