3D Model Construction Based on the Integration of Aerial Oblique Photogrammetry and Ground-Based 3D Laser Scanning
Abstract:To address the issues of data loss and insufficient accuracy in 3D modeling of complex buildings using a single technique, this paper proposes a collaborative modeling method that integrates drone oblique photogrammetry with ground-based 3D laser scanning. High-resolution texture data of the building's top are efficiently obtained through oblique photogrammetry, while precise point cloud information of the bottom and occluded areas is captured using 3D laser scanning. The point cloud fusion is achieved by employing an ICP registration algorithm optimized with KD-tree. This method effectively solves problems such as bottom distortion and top holes in traditional modeling, improving model completeness by more than 40%, with a mean error of 0.062 m for point positions and 0.036 m for elevation.
