The biological effect and medical functions of the Infrared Rays

摘要:The quantum vibrational energy-spectra including high excited states of the protein molecules have been calculated by new theory of bio-energy transport along the protein molecules and its dynamic equation, discrete nonlinear Schrodinger equation, appropriate to the protein molecules on the basis of the level of molecular structure. This energy-spectra obtained are basically consistent with the experimental values by infrared absorption and radiated measurement of person's hands and laser-Raman spectrum from metabolically active E. Coli.. From this energy-spectra we know that the infrared lights with (1-3)x1000nm and (5-7)x1000nm wavelength can be absorbed by the protein molecules in the living systems.In accordance with the non-linear theory of the bio-energy transport we know that the energy of the infrared light absorbed by the proteins can result in vibrations of amide-I in amino acids and can facilitate the bio-energy transport along the protein molecular chains from one place to other for the growth of living bodies. This processe is non-thermal. This is just non-thermal effect of the infrared lights. According to the mechanism we explained further the medical functions of the infrared lights absorbed.

Influences of Motion Artifacts on Three-Dimensional Reconstruction Volume and Conformal Radiotherapy Planning

摘要:Objective: To investigate the influences of motion artifacts on three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction volume and conformal radiotherapy planning. Methods: A phantom which can mimic the clip motion of lung tumor along the cranial-caudal direction is constructed by step motor, small ball of polyethylene and potato. Ten different scan protocols were set and CT data of the phantom were acquired by using a commercial GE LightSpeed16 CT scanner. The 3D reconstruction of the CT data was implemented by adopting volume-rendering technology of GE AdvantageSim 6.0 system. The reconstructed volumes of each target in different scan protocols were measured through 3D measuring tools. Thus, relative deviations of the reconstruction volumes between moving targets and static ones were determined. The three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3DCRT) plans and conformal fields were created and compared for a static/moving target with the WiMRT treatment planning system (TPS). Results:For a static target, there was no obvious difference among the 3D reconstruction volumes when the CT data were acquired with different pitches and slices. The appearance of 3D reconstruction volume and 3D conformal field of a moving target was quite different from that of static one. The maximum relative deviation is nearly 90% for a moving target scanned with different scan protocols. The relative deviations are variable among the different targets, about from -39.8% to 89.5% for a smaller target and from -18.4% to 20.5% for a larger one.Conclusion:The motion artifacts have great effects on 3D-CRT planning and reconstruction volume, which will greatly induce distorted conformal radiation fields and false DVHs for a moving target.

3D Elastic Registration of Ultrasound Images Based on Skeleton Feature

摘要:In order to eliminate displacement and elastic deformation between images of adjacent frames in course of 3D ultrasonic image reconstruction, elastic registration based on skeleton feature was adopt in this paper. A new automatically skeleton tracking extract algorithm is presented, which can extract connected skeleton to express figure feature. Feature points of connected skeleton are extracted automatically by accounting topical curvature extreme points several times. Initial registration is processed according to barycenter of skeleton. Whereafter, elastic registration based on radial basis function are processed according to feature points of skeleton. Result of example demonstrate that according to traditional rigid registration, elastic registration based on skeleton feature retain natural difference in shape for organ's different part, and eliminate slight elastic deformation between frames caused by image obtained process simultaneously. This algorithm has a high practical value for image registration in course of 3D ultrasound image reconstruction.

Research and Realization of Medical Image Fusion Based on Three-Dimensional Reconstruction

摘要:A new medical image fusion technique is presented. The method is based on three-dimensional reconstruction. After reconstruction, the three-dimensional volume data is normalized by three-dimensional coordinate conversion in the same way and intercepted through setting up cutting plane including anatomical structure, as a result two images in entire registration on space and geometry are obtained and the images are fused at last.Compared with traditional two-dimensional fusion technique, three-dimensional fusion technique can not only resolve the different problems existed in the two kinds of images, but also avoid the registration error of the two kinds of images when they have different scan and imaging parameter. The research proves this fusion technique is more exact and has no registration, so it is more adapt to arbitrary medical image fusion with different equipments.

Single Channel Fetal ECG Detection Using LMS and RLS Adaptive Filters

摘要: ECG is an important tool for the primary diagnosis of heart diseases, which shows the electrophysiology of the heart. In our method, a single maternal abdominal ECG signal is taken as an input signal and the maternal P-QRS-T complexes of original signal is averaged and repeated and taken as a reference signal. LMS and RLS adaptive filters algorithms are applied. The results showed that the fetal ECGs have been successfully detected. The accuracy of Daisy database was up to 84%of LMS and 88%of RLS while PhysioNet was up to 98%and 96%for LMS and RLS respectively.

摘要:It is inevitable that noises will be introduced during the acquisition of pulse wave signal, which can result in morphology changes of the original pulse wave, and affect the hemodynamic analysis and diagnosis based on pulse wave signalsIn order to remove these noises, an adaptive de-noising method based on empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and wavelet threshold is proposed in this paperCompared with the wavelet threshold method for denoising pulse wave, the proposed approach is more effective, especially at low signal-to-noise ratio.

Influence of Different Factors on the Preparation of Platelet-rich Plasma

摘要:Objective: To explore the influence of centrifugal parameters, cen-trifugal temperature, preparation equipment and anticoagulant on the manual prepa-ration of platelet-rich plasma(PRP). Methods: Female ICR mice (n=36) were divid-ed into 4 groups according to four influencing factors of centrifugation parameters (centrifugation force and centrifugation time), centrifugation temperature, preparation device, and anticoagulant. The red blood cell concentration (RBC), white blood cell concentration (WBC) and platelet concentration (PLT) were detected by blood cell analyzer, and the platelet enrichment factor (PEF) and platelet recovery ratio (PRR) were calculated. Results: In the comparison of the calculation results of PLT, PEF and PRR in each group, the centrifugal parameters were higher at 300 g for 10 min and 1200 g for 15 min, which were 2600±201.55, 3.68±1.29, 61.60%±8.57%(P<0.05);When the centrifugal temperature was 4℃, the tunica albuginea was flatter and easier to be absorbed than the normal temperature, and the RBCs between the groups were 0.84 ±0.33 and 3.16 ±0.33, respectively, with significant difference. There was no sig-nificant difference among the three data groups of anticoagulants, and the choice of anticoagulants did not have too much influence. The quality of PRP obtained from the improved preparation device (anticoagulant+syringe) was significantly higher than that of the anticoagulant tube, and the results were 2568 ±124.52 and 3551.67 ±348.12, 3.31 ±0.16 and 4.58 ±0.45, 49.7%±2.41% and 68.74%±6.74%, respectively. Conclu-sion:High-quality platelet-rich plasma can be obtained by using an improved extrac-tion device with any anticoagulant at 4℃ and centrifugation parameters of 300 g for 10 min and 1200 g for 15 min.

A New Method for Human Microcirculation Image Enhancement

摘要:Microcirculation images often have uneven illumination and low contrast in the acquisition process, which affect the image reorganization and following process. This paper presents a new method for microcirculatory image illumination correction and con-trast enhancement based on the Contourlet transform. Initially, the image illumination model is extracted by Contourlet transform and then uneven illumination is corrected. Next, in order to restrain noise and enhance image contrast, the probability function asso-ciated with noise coefficient and edge coefficient is established and applied to all Contour-let coefficients. Then, a nonlinear enhancement function is applied to modified Contourlet coefficient to adaptively enhance image contrast. Finally, the enhanced image is obtained by inverse Contourlet transform. We compare this approach with other contrast enhance-ment methods, result showing that our method has a better effect than other enhancement methods, which might be helpful for clinical diagnostics of microcirculation.

Recent Progresses in Analysis of Tongue Manifestation for Traditional Chinese Medicine

摘要:Tongue diagnosis is one of the most precious and widely used diagnostic methods in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). However, due to its subjective, qualitative and experience-dependent nature, the studies on tongue characterization have been widely emphasized. This paper surveys recent progresses in analysis of tongue manifestation. These new developments include the cross-network and cross-media color reproduction of tongue image, the automatic segmentation of tongue body based on knowledge, the automatic analysis of curdiness and griminess for the tongue fur and the automatic analysis of plumpness, wryness and dot -thorn of tongue body. The clinic experiments verify the validity of these new methods.

3-D Magnetic Sensor Module for Locating and Tracking MEMS Swallowable Capsule Based on Scalar Form of Magnetic Dipole Model

摘要:MEMS swallowable capsule is a novel technology in the non-invasive surgery. This technology provides a way to diagnose directly into the deep intestinal where the traditional invasive technology implemented, such as X-Ray, endoscopy. It is a key for us to locate and track the position of a MEMS capsule in clinical applications. To solve this problem, we implemented a magnetic sensor module based on the scalar form of the magnetic dipole model,which was designed with very small size (5.2 * 2.1 * 1.2 cm) and easy to assemble to satisfy the system requirement. Here we discuss in detail the principle of magnetic dipole model, rules of selecting sensor and functions of the module. Some trials are established to test the characteristic of the module. The results of the Cm experiment demonstrates that the module follows the rules of the new magnetic dipole model form.

Image Registration Based on Improved Mutual Information with Hybrid Optimizer

摘要:An improved image registration method is proposed based on mutual information with hybrid optimizer. Firstly, mutual information measure is combined with morphological gradient information. The essence of the gradient information is that locations with a large gradient magnitude should be aligned, but also the orientation of the gradients at those locations should be similar. Secondly, a hybrid optimizer combined PSO with Powell algorithm is proposed to restrain local maxima of mutual information function and improve the registration accuracy to sub-pixel level. Lastly, multiresolution data structure based on Mallat decomposition can not only improve the behavior of registration function, but also improve the speed of the algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate that the new method can yield good registration result, superior to traditional optimizer with respect to smoothness and attraction basin as well as convergence speed.
